Spare Change the World

"Spare Change the World" is a grass roots charity donation program that supports various non-profit groups dedicated to positive social change throughout the world.

At our many fantastic festivals and rallies, Peacemonger offers a "tip jar for charity." I am continually humbled as so many people are happy to leave some very nice tips! Peacemonger tops off the final count for any given festival to the next fifty dollars. If we work it, we'll raise upwards of $200-$300 and more per festival! A huge hug and THANK YOU! to all who've given to this effort. You are all amazing.

To donate via PayPal, click on the image to the left.

This is a replicable system. It's fairly easy and can be a hugely rewarding experience. I'm hoping fellow festival vendors will try it out. With ten or twenty good jars, we could help out a good cause with thousands of dollars from each festival. We're working on it. I appreciate your feedback. Contact me and let me know what your favorite charity is. It's a good chance they'll end up on our list for "Spare Change the World." If you attend or vend at any festivals or rallies, contact me by phone or email as soon as possible. (559) 799 8801 for details on how you can participate. I'll supply a free jar with a laminated "Spare Change the World" header and you can give it a try yourself!

If you wish to donate directly, click the logo. We'll put it in our next tip jar, THANK YOU! Your donation will go to support one of many organizations, including Doctors Without Borders, Families of Victims of California Fires, Greenpeace, Peace Pilgrim, ASH (Action on Smoking and Health), Habitat for Humanity, Conscious Alliance, Common Ground Relief, and many more.

(We are always looking for other charitable organizations to help out with fundraising, and i'd appreciate your suggestions. Just contact me.)

Tom Hamilton - Personal donation $300**

Special Thanks to Tom Hamilton who donated $300 to Doctors w/o Borders through our Spare Change the World program! Tom wanted permission to put our "COEXIST" design on the roof of his Mini Cooper. It was suggested he donate whatever he wished, so THANKS, Tom for your generosity. It's folks like you that keep us inspired and motivated!

You are encouraged to visit our beneficiaries. We provide the letter below as an example of one donation to the City of Greensburg, KS, which was wiped off the face of the Earth in May, 2007 by an F5+ tornado. (Slideshow coming soon.) Feel free to contact any of these non profit groups to verify our donation. Thank you for your confidence, and your support!

* High Sierra Foundation has established a special fund to give direct aid to those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and thanks to support from the High Sierra community we've been able to donate much-needed funds to the New Orleans music community.

** We at Peacemonger are down to these two candidates as having anything resembling our views on the important issues of our time. Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich consistently voted against the Iraq war and it's funding, as well as Republican Congressional Representative Ron Paul. Both are outspoken about brining the troops home immediately, and Dennis even introduced legislation to do so <HR1234>. He has proposed a bold, new policy to re-establish America's place in the world. Kucinich has the only Healthcare plan that is really universal: <HR676> Dennis believes in diplomacy and a return to statesmanship as the path to strong international leadership, a new policy of investing in our communities and our infrastructure - a new policy of Strength through Peace. Dr. Ron Paul believes in non-intervention abroad, The reintroduction of Sound Money, rejects the encroachment on civil liberties under the bush administration, and the promotion of Democracy by example, not by force.

We wonder, since this is already a One Party System, then it's not too far of a stretch to put in office a PAUL/KUCINICH ticket, or a KUCINICH/PAUL perhaps, depending on which one wins their nomination. CLICK HERE if you'd buy a KUCINICH/PAUL for Presidents bumper sticker!

† As 500,000 people are displaced from their homes due to wildfires that rage through southern California, Common Ground Collective is sending a delegation of volunteers to assist with local relief efforts. Common Ground is a community-initiated volunteer organization that offers assistance, mutual aid and support to the New Orleans area. This delegation consists of eight people, including Malik Rahim, a co-founder of Common Ground Collective.

We are also supporting a fair trial for the "Jena 6" and many other civil/human rights travesties which are dominating news headlines. We support their efforts and hope you do to.
